About Julianna
Julianna’s work is built around close observation, clear instruction and the ability to move between disciplines without losing the purpose of the session.

The practice
“A good private session is not a harder version of a group class. It is a more informed one. The pace, equipment, corrections and progression should all respond to the person in the room.”
Julianna brings Pilates, movement and yoga disciplines into sessions that respond to the person rather than repeat a fixed class. The work is grounded in close observation, controlled progression and sustained attention.
Private work leaves room to notice the small decisions that a crowded room can miss. An exercise can be changed, slowed down or set aside without losing the purpose of the hour.
A Manhattan home can make consistency simpler. A partner studio can provide the reformer and equipment the session calls for. The setting changes; the standard of attention does not.

A considered mix
The client does not need to decide which method should lead. The useful question is what the session needs to accomplish, in the room available that day.
Resistance, feedback and precise equipment-led progression
Control, portability and work that can continue beyond the studio
Range, breath and a different way into the day’s movement
Clear loading and progression when strength is the useful tool

A Manhattan practice
Home instruction reduces travel and works with the space you have. A partner studio offers professional equipment. In both settings, the session stays private and the plan stays personal.
